Whats a good price for a 05 TSX with 19k miles?

Was thinking about buying a new 2007 TSX auto with navi for $28k (dealer agreed).

But then I came across a 2005 TSX auto, no navi with 19k miles. Its also Acura certified. They asking $22,900.

Whats a good price for that 2005 TSX and do you think its worth buying over new?

That's not a bad price but I've seen better. I would offer 19K and with some haggling maybe you can walk away paying 21K. TSXs hold their value but brand new '06 closeouts were going for 26K just a few months ago.

yup, and that's 26k out the door price!
(I got a brand new 06 at 25995 otd just a month ago)

another factor... the the only diff between 07 06 is the tire pressure monitoring system.
my understanding is that there is a significant diff between 05 06 (I may be wrong)

I don't know, i sent them an email and they gave me an email offer of $24,243 +TTL and that is what it came out to. It was the end of the month and they only had 3 06's left and wanted to get rid of them. They were very agressive and they gave me $17k for my trade in value on my 04 TSX with 41k miles and that was with them seeing it modded and it had a pretty bad accident on it too. They are now trying to sell it for like $23,890 which is just crazy cause for another $1k i got my brand new 06.

Dom - i meant he should try and ask them to bring the price down.....that is what i meant by go lower on them....lol

Thanks guys!! I thought it was a great deal and that is why i took it. I put another $3k down so my car payment is only like $150 a month for 3 yrs and i'll pay it off this year.

The only thing is i have 3 scratchs on the front passenger side hood i might hvae to pay to get removed I think some one drug their bag over it when they were getting out of their car to get the train.....i've been really pissed cause i haven't even washed the car yet.

lol, oh ok, well thanks though! I highly recommend sending out emails before going to the dealerships. I got the exact same quote from another dealership actually that was for $24,450 +TTL via email and they only had 2 06's left. I was going to get the one RBP they had there but they didn't have a used car lot so they only offered me $13k for my TSX so i laughed at them and left. Ended up getting an overall better deal anyway

I'd have to tell ya, though, $28K for a 07 Navi is a pretty on the mark price. If you were in socal, then the price would suck. I'd say if you could knock off around $300 bucks take it, but don't let a mere $300 ruin the deal.

As for your original question about the 05' I dunno. I'd say get the Navi. You'll fall in love with it once you get it.

And when you guys are posting your prices please, for the love of god, specify NON NAVI or NAVI.

All the prices i gave were for all non navi 5AT. The price i was given in the same 2 emails that i recieved my quotes from for the navi model was $25,950 + TTL and $26,120 +TTL. Again, i would def recommend emailing dealerships and see what they offer you through that. I was told by the one dealership that they could not go any lower than the $24,243 (5AT non navi) because that was the at cost price. Not sure if that is accurate or not but its still great nontheless.

Whats a good price for that 2005 TSX and do you think its worth buying over new?

The mileage is nice on the 05 you're looking at but you can probably find one with a navi at around the same price...maybe few more miles though.

I bought an 04 TSX(navi/at) for 22,900...I took it back though because of a scratch.

A few days later I bought an 06 TSX(navi/AT) for 24,900 with 14,000 miles. This was like 2 weeks ago here in Los Angeles. I think I got a pretty nice deal.

LOL you actually took back a car because of scratches? And the dealer did not give you any crap for it? I sure they tried to tell you its nothing and they can buff it out?

I know. The automobile market must be EXTREMELY soft in some places right now. Thats usually not something a dealer would be willing to do unless you were a hot chick that offered to blow the sales manager.

Funny you mentioned that because the manager offered to send it to the detail shop where they could apply some touch up paint. I tried not to laugh because the scratch was all the way to the metal. The detail manager took a look at it and said no way they'd have to send it to the shop to fix if, free of course. Not to say that I'm an expert or anything, but you could tell the scratch was old. Anyways the car was bought from CARMAX where they have 5 day no questions asked return policy. I ended up going with a 06 TSX instead from an Acura dealership.
