What to select for Anti Theft Device for TSX

Hi All,

I am shopping for Auto Quote and i am not sure what to select for Passenger Restraint System for my TSX ( 2005 Navi)

The options are

2) Alarm Only
3) Disabling Device you activate
4) Automatic disabling Device..

I am not sure which one to select..i haven't installed any additional security systems on my car..

Thanks

Are these standard search options on the website? The TSX comes with a standard alarm and immobilizer technology. I guess you should select No. 4 from your list.

What, no option for "Hungry Rottweiler in the back seat"? That's the ultimate theft deterant.

Anyway, I'd say number 4, since the immobilizer is automatic. I'm surprised they even ask that question though, they should have a database of standard security features for all cars I would think.

Don't select any of them. The factory immobilizer is plenty good.

I believe it would be the immobilizer. If you don't have a TSX key with the correct chip then the ECU is disabled.

I read an article a while back about a guy who had Mercedes w/ a biometric starter. One day, he got hijacked. The thieves wanted his car, and wanted to be able to start it, but didn't want the guy coming along with them. So... instead of being deterred by the biometric starter... they just took the guy's thumb.
Personally, if I ever get hijacked, I want to be able to give the thief a key and get away w/ all my body parts.
