What can you get for a nice used TSX?
I am consider selling my white TSX. Only 8,000 Km. showroom condition (immaculate) with BMW rear deck lid lip spoiler. Never raced or trashed around. Anyone knows what I can get for it on a trade-up and/or direct sale to buyer?
Thinking of moving up to a TL soon. Good or bad idea?

i saw a used one at Richmond Acura for $32600. is best to trade in your tsx, you only get taxed on the amount after your trade in.
$44,000 - tl with nav.* $44,000 - tl with nav.*
- $28,000 - $ of your tsx + 14.5% - pst & gst
-------------------------------- vs -----------------------------
$16,000 - sub-total $50,380 - total
+ 14.5% - pst & gst - $28,000 - private sale
-------------------------------- -----------------------------
$18,320 - total $ 22,380 - total
Correct me if i am wrong but i think this is how you caculated it...
*not including freight, documentation fee...etc.

Sorry for the hijacking, but I tried searching the KBB website, but they didn't even have TSX listed.
How much do you guys figure I can get for mines?
2004 TSX black/ebony/navi/6MT with 7k miles.
Dealer trade in? Private?
Thanks

I am currently in the same situation as you....considering a trade-in, .....i guess the most important thing is that if you decide to trade-in in the first year ...you are going to take a huge hit....i am planning to trade my 03'a4 for a tsx...and I have dealers constantly giving me low balls....anywhere from 1k under black book to even 6k under black book.. ...
Some ppl might think since its a new mint condition car, you should get a higher price...but that might not always be true.....if you were in the market for a tsx willing to pay more than 3x,xxx....why would you get a used one?
I might consider dealer trade in because of the following reasons
1) less tax implications
2) its much easier....think of the additional paper work, advertising costs, time required to show the car etc etc....adds up....
3) trade-in's are all about differential anyways....sure you might get a bad trade in value but i am sure you can make it up with a better discount on your car..( but for a new yr model TL, i doubt you will get much of a discount)
Will consider private deal for these reasons:
1) you will not get blackbook through dealer, they need their share of the cut as well...considering all the detailing costs, admin costs, and the large amount of new tsx available...i think you could look for anywhere between 2k-5k off black book value
2) you could get even more than black book if you can find a "water fish"...(a naive person who has not done his research)
just my .02
