we finished and it looks great imo. it was too dark by the time we finished so i'll take pics of mine tomorrow and post them.

It looks like they're taking out the orange reflectors in the headlights. Is that a hairdryer?

 

thats a heat gun in the pic. the orange reflector is still there. we tinted them so they still light up orange at night.

 

Cool. I saw a friend of mine do the headlights on his Lancer. He put the the entire assembly in the oven to soften the caulk. It was pretty ghetto, but it worked.

im sorry i dont get it, what's the big deal? so the sides of your lights arent orange anymore... why would that bother you enough to want to change it?
why cant people just buy, and drive the car and be happy with it? why do cars have to be some quest for independence? especially lights! they are just lights and reflectors, are you going to make them hyper flash next? will they change colors?
i thought this was going to be a thread about stolen parts or somthing.

So how long did it take you per car?

 

we started at about 10:30-11:00 and finished at 6:00. We did both cars at the same time.

this included a run to home depot to get some silicone

But it seems like taking everything apart just to make that light looks dark it's like using a Rocket Launcher to kill a Bee.

But then it looks fantastic! I want that too but then taking my car apart like that just for this seems a bit.....:'(
