"Welcome Driver 1" Mod???

I've done some searches and can't seem to find an answer to this. Is there any way to change the "Welcome Driver 1" message that comes up on the MID when you insert the key?

i'm assuming there's gotta be a way, technically speaking. i'm not of the expertise to research it though, someone out there must know where the programming for this is....

That would be fun to change, but there's nothing out there published that I know of. At this point, it looks to be along the lines of modding your nav system. i.e. the hard way.

I asked that same question in jest in another thead. I think I remember Colin saying that its not changeable. Although I'm sure, with enough tech savvy and time, anything is possible.

the only way it's not changeable is if it's something that's on the disc in the navigation system (which doesn't seem feasible, since the non-navi says the same thing right?)

basically, somewhere, there is a computer with this message programmed into it. there has to be a way to change that.

I would imagine that it's programmed into the MID software somewhere. Only way to change it would be locate the software and hack it. Seems like too much trouble to me.

it probably requires some very expensive software and diagnostic port connection that only a dealership would have. And then of course that software would need to be hacked...the navi was easily changeable because its software was on media that we are all familiar with
