I was driving my TSX (2004 PWP) today and parked for about an hour. When I came back into the car, I smelled something burning - something like plastic or chemical burning inside my car. I checked around but could not find anything, checked the engine bay and nothing, and no service lights on the dash. I drove for about a block and noticed the smell got stronger. I then pulled over and parked then there was a bit of smoke coming out from the center vents (the ones that the emergency light button is between). I called the dealership and they have no clue what's going on. The service dept. was closed today so I dropped my car off and hopefully they can look into this next week. I will post more info when I find out what's going on next week. I have about 46,500 km on the car so warrenty should cover it.

No this is no joke. I know it's April 1st but this is no joke. I am actually concerned at this point.

Well - I am finally getting my car back from the dealership. They said they couldn't find anything wrong. They said they took the dash apart and inspected the vents, engine bay area, hoses for leaks, wires and everything looks ok. Then they inspected my air/pollen filter and said that it was all clogged up with crap and they suspect that the air could not get thru - this may have caused the smell and smoke that I saw. To me this makes no sense but they said the car is safe to drive. They said they cleaned out the filter and all is good to go. I will pick it up later today.

 

so they didn't just cleaned not replaced the filter ?
