My friend and I [we're both korean] were driving into a mall, and when we were parked, a Silver Accord parked right next to us [it was following us, but I didnt think it would park next to us] and 4 vietnamese people came out [age about 21-24] they surrounded my car and were talking, then one of them said, "thats my car @#$%#"... The mall was near a town where vietnamese gangs were popular so I got kind of scared and my friend started to call up somebody and then the four left... my heart never beated so fast in my life... I guess im never going back there again...

my car was in a perpendicular parking spot... a white empty van next to it and on the other side the silver accord... I thought they were just getting off to the store but they were behind my car so there was no way to reverse...
they told me to my face, Thats my car @#%#$...

hey, Im vietnamese ...and I have been approached by vietnamese gangs as well...in charlotte NC. They are not as abundant here, but they approached me because they thought I was chinese....

Thugs come in all races....the comment about them coming in packs sorta apply to all gangs doesnt it? hence the word ganga...?

Anyways, I hate gangsters, no matter what race they are in. Gangmembers will shoot you out of the blue and sh**t.

BTW pho is a very good noodle soup. gook is not a very nice term to use (to the guy above). It doesnt bother me or anything, but others may find it offensive. Of course though, I realize you werent trying to be nice about it.

yeah, they are starting to show in charlotte, but in very small numbers...not even worth mentioning...but they are there and typically of younger age, like 18-22.

pho is ok .... bit over rated. I prefer won ton soup with the yellow noodles! way much better! i've been eating pho for like 9 years striaght .. every week .. ugg .. it gets plain after that many time

Ok, so say I am in a noodle bar, lets pretend in Vegas......I have no idea what the noodles are called. I want basically a Wonton soup type of broth, with spaghetti type noodles, but thicker and with chicken. What do I order?????? Im serious, I suxor at teh noodles....

Not sure what to tell you because this noodle thing is so versatile and then you throw in the different Asian styles it's just mindboggling.
Then In "fancy" places in a town like Vegas I think it's pretty much going to be like "fusion" style. So just read the menu or ask I suppose
But if you go to NYC Chinatown - my favorite noodle there is
"Noodle (thin crunchy egg noodle) with wonton and roast duck" man, that thing is like crack, you can hit me with a baseball bat and wouldn't feel a thing.
You just substitute teh duick with "soy sauce-cooked chicken"

Couple of years ago some Honkaneese (Hong Kong) punks nearly ran over my sister-in-law with their brand- new Hyuandi Rice-Fart Can while trying to steal my parking space.

A concerned citizen decided to decorate their car with chocolate pudding and mustard from the snack bar while they were inside watching a movie. Apperently, it actually etched the paint :-)

I never knew the name but I know half the stores were closed and there were a lot of Vietnamese people around. I wanted to go to the gift shop & I actually had to call the guy on his cell phone for him to come open his store.

The grocery store was impressive, however. Perhaps the largest one I have ever been to.

On a side note:
Eden Center up in the DC area is a very nice Viet Shopping Center. I love the giant tori they have over the parking lot entrance
