Valet Key

where do you keep the valet key? You don't want to keep it someplace in the car where someone can find it and jack your ride. But, you do want to have it when you decide to valet park.

So, where do you all keep the grey valet key?

I'd never let a valet touch my car. If I did however I'd just grab it on the way out when I knew I'd need it.

On the key chain along with the other keys.......and if I valet my car I just take the key off.

I hate to sound like a snob here, but I barely trust my girlfriend to drive my car, and I refuse to valet park.

I use my valet key when I drive to the gym, so I won't have a pocket full of keys while working out. And if I lose it, not the end of the world. If I were to lose one of the regular keys along with the alarm remote, I'd probably feel the need to replace them, and we all know how expensive that is.

I leave my valet key at home and park my own car. I still think of Ferris Bueller's Day Off when I see the valet guys.

Leave it at home and use it whenever bring it in for service or something similar. I will park the car myself and never use valet park yet.

Most of you are saying you won't valet park you car. But, if you live in Atlanta, it's pretty difficult to avoid valet parking.

In that case I'd get one of the keychains that is two parts and put the valey key on there. Then just give them that by itself.

or Philadelphia... or probably any other major city. How can anyone avoid it altogether??

Mine is on my keychain, but when we go somewhere that I know we'll use a valet, I make an excuse and we take HER car :P

I have my valet key in my glove box. Then when I have someone valet park my TSX I give them the key, but lock the trunk and glove box before I give them the key.

What does that gonna do?

If you put your valet key in the glove box and not lock the glove box normally, someone (assuming that he/she broke into your car) can easily start your car and drive off.

I usually have the glove box locked, however, now I think I will reconsider leaving the valet key in there and leave it at home or only have it when I need it. I don't want some to steal my TSX.
