Yeah it's possible. There is a website called www.beastpower.com they do high end cars like M5's and Porshes.
Looking for a cheaper route.

Do you have to give up your auto-dimming rear view mirror for that? I would like to see a digital compass added to the mirror too.

The downside is that you can't move the main V-1 unit from car to car!

Other BMW iterations I've seen include putting the V-1 remote display in the instrument cluster, there's even one electronic box that modifies the electronics of the instrument cluster to directly incorporate the display. (So the bottom of the instrument cluster reads: outside temp ... odometer ... trip odometer... radar .... service ...)

I use Case Logic "visor organzers" (about $8, Target Stores) for the main units with a window cut out in the front for the LIDAR antenna. The remote display is incorporated into the console, in the TSX it replaces the fuzzy red "not an ashtray". I also keep car wash tickets and sunglasses in the organizer. It's invisible unless you know what you're looking for.
