USA Spec PA15HON2 - 07 TSX - problem
Just installed a USA Spec PA15HON2 iPod interface in my 2007 Acura TSX factory radio w/o Nav.
I have the unit set for folder + direct mode
The problem I'm having is that the skip/seek button on the radio is supposed to advance through folders. For instance, if I'm in playlist folder or artist folder and hit skip/seek, it is supposed to move to the next playlist, or artist. The SCAN button is supposed to advance 10 songs in whatever playlist or album you are in.
The problem is that the skip/seek is not functioning as it says in the directions and is instead doing what the SCAN button does. This is a pain as there is no way to advance through playlists, etc.
Anyone else have this problem and is there a solution?

I have the same adaptor with my 06 w/ Navi. I have it set to Playlist+Direct for my iPhone 3GS and 1st Gen iPod Touch. I’m not trying to skip/seek to next playlist or scan past 10 songs within at playlist. I usually plug it in, select an artist or playlist from the iPod/iPhone, and use the steering wheel to skip a song one at a time.
I’ve looked at the instruction manual and I did not see those features with this ipod adaptor:
http://www.usaspec.com/userfiles/edi...581PA15HON.pdf
It could be:
- only certain iPods/iPhone support the features you need
- the USASPEC does not support those features

- solved-
I learned the solution to this problem and thought I would post for others.
The iPod unit plays using XM1. Apparently XM can be in "channel" mode or "category" mode. You can toggle between the two modes by pressing and holding the DISP key. You will hear a beep and the display shows "CH" or "Category".
If you have the player set in "Category" mode, the seek/select button should move you through the "subfolders" within a folder. For instance, if you are in Playlists, this button moves you through your list of playlists.
There is a lot of lag in showing the moves and it isn't elegant by any means, but it is now working.

This is good information!!
I might have to give this a try to see how it works compared to the way I have it now.
Thanks!
