I'm alittle stupid and want to make sure I do this right.....

Here is the pictures of my storage compartment taken off...which cable do I pull..i'm assuming it's that BIG "light turquoise blue plastic" ended one? It looks like it has 2 separate connectors...I'm confused why....

Is it worth it to disconnect the battery or am I pretty safe?

Don't pull either of those cables! Those go to the factory amp. The USA Spec plugs into the AUX in port on the bottom of the factory stereo. Get a CD and use it as a mirror. This will help you see the plug on the bottom of the factory stereo. If you have navi, you'll need to unplug the cable that's currently plugged into it. That cable will now go to the USASpec. Then plug the USASpec into slot that you just removed the previous cable from. If you don't have navi, the plug will be empty.

Look UP, not down, to find the white cable you need to remove. Look at your usa spec cable to get an idea of what the end of it is going to look like, cause obviously they will be the same.

there are threads on this already, and you just need to reach up you'll definitely feel it with your hand... either the plug or the empty space if u don't have nav...


you don't need to disconnect the battery... also when you put the pocket back in make sure that the USA Spec wires are up out of the way of the pocket, otherwise you might get intermittent cutting in/out of the ipod signal... i just had this problem as the USA Spec plugs aren't as hardy as the OEM ones apparently... and don't take well to being squished in tight places...
