I like this idea of a small displacement SIX. I'm not sure it's going to rev higher than a FOUR. Keeping the weight down is important, though. The SIX would probably have much better torque.

It won't happen. Like I implied, I'm not an advocate, but if its done in an effort to compete I wouldn't mind seeing it.

Remember this is my WISHLIST

stay 4 cylinders 2.4L:

1) Direct Injection or HCCI for higher Fuel Economy
2) Low Pressure Turbo for More Power and Torque
3) DOHC A-VTEC (intake and output) power/fuel economy
4) optional SH-AWD (Rear-Biased)
5) LED Tailights/Interior Lighting.
6) Real Metal Trim Inside
7) Chain Driven CVT or SMG type Transmission (fuel economy/power)
8) Paddle Shifters (Virtual Shift Points on the CVT sport/normal mode)
9) Back-Up Camera
10) AutoLeveling/Turn Headlights

I'd keep the size of the vehicle where it is. Everything but 1 and 7 are parts bin and those are supposed to be in development. With MP3-CD and Ipod capabilty, might choose to lose the 6 disk in dash.

My top 10 list:
1. Much better seats with proper ergonomics and thigh support
2. 2.8 - 3.0L six cylinder (preferrably inline)
3. Much better torque curve and less need and tendency to redline
4. Once there's more torque, fix the gear ratios so I don't have to shift out of first at 15 kph and can cruise on the highway at less than 3000 rpm.
5. Trash the sunglass holder and move the moon roof controls there instead
6. Link the mirrors (and perhaps steering wheel) to the memory
7. Remove/redesign the support struts behind the back seat so that when the seats are folded down the cargo space is more useful.
8. Provide some way to turn off that useless legal warning message on the navi system every time you start the car.
9. Better fuel economy or the ability to put in regular gas
10. 10-way power drives seat (currently 8) and at least 8-way power passenger seat (currently 4) with lumbar support and memory.

A few comments on past posts:

If you want RWD buy a BMW or Infiniti. One of my main reasons for buying the TSX was specifically because it WASN'T RWD. If I lived in California, I'd be all over this, but try driving one through a Canadian winter and you'll see my point.

Backup Camera: I took a TL home for the long weekend and it had one. The one time I needed it most was backing out of my garage at night and trying not to hit the telephone pole across the alley. All I got was a murky black and white image that was totally useless. Unless these things have good resolution and the ability to work at night, don't bother.

I agree on the turning circle. The TSX has the turning radius of a school bus. To put it in perspective, the TSX is 40 feet. Compare this to the Cadillac Escalade at 39 and Chrysler Town and Country extended minivan at 39.4. That's simply frightening.

M. Schumacher, we're sorry to see you go. You will always be the champ.

Daytona? Nascar? Cmon now!
March 18th, Melbourne... Albert Park. Can't wait to see Honda's new livery!

I'd much prefer that the side rearview mirrors would adjust to allow better visibility behind... Those rearview cameras aren't great at night, which is when most of us would like to use them...

How 'bout a 6-cyl engine, with VDC? Honda has the technology in the Pilot and Odissey (and MDX now, I think). That would allow brisk performance for the new TSX, while retaining it's fuel economy...

Ya think Button will win another race this season?

Regarding livery, as die-hard a Ferrari/Schumacher fan that I am, I think McLaren still have the best looking car/livery.

Cmon guys, is the new tsx 08 or 09?

AWD, LEDs all around, heated mirrors, sound system, wheel gap!!!!!!!!!

i have the 6 speed and power is not a problem if you kno how to drive, but try getting traction in a FWD... i feel bad for you A/T guys tho.

my biggest problem is wheel gap.. i mean look at a BMW... the fender is right around the wheel, looks amazing. I hate how i have to spend a G to get legit coilovers just to make it look the way it should look from the factory.

i really like the tint idea but it's probably not feasible with how different tint laws are all over the country/world.

one last thing, i am so pissed that they integrated the climate control into the radio and the clock (on the '04 non navi). I wanted to take out the radio and do my own custom setup but i got the climate control on the same panel. SOAB.

i hope acura reads this..........
