Undercoating

Hi:
I have a 2004 TSX with 53k miles. I only put on 2000-3000 miles per year. It is kept in an underground, dry, clean garage.
Although I live in the snowy Northeast (New York City), it's rare that I would drive the car when there's slush and salt on the roads.
My mechanic says that I should let him put undercoating on the car for about $150. He say's there's no rot now but undercoating will prevent it.
I did a little research and some say that moisture gets caught under the undercoating and actually causes rot and rust.
Should I let him do the undercoating?

Thanks!

No, don't under coat it. Moisture does tend to get trapped in traditional undercoat.

You *could* have everything POR-15'd. But that's gonna cost a lot more than $150.

I'd just leave it alone. Wash it often. Keep it dry.
