Under the seat neon tubes
I have been considering getting neon tubes to put under the seat in my TSX. I don't want to plug them into my lighter but I am not sure how to go about pluging them into any other 12 vold power source. One guy told me to go through my firewall and to the battery but I am not sure how to do it. Can anyone tell me a way to hook it up without using the lighter?

let the rice begin!!

just hook up all the tubes in parallel and run them to the fuse box under the drivers area for power. you still have to find a ground for it though. im not sure what fuses are in the box as i have not looked at them yet, but you want t see if there is a fuse in there such as a light on fuse so that neons will turn on when you turn on your lights. if there is none a simple solution is to get a cheap switchat radio shack and install it in the 2 empty slots by the vsa and sunroof slots to control your neons.

you can stick the wire in a existing fuse spot. just wrap the wire around one end of the fuse. im not at home so ill draw you up a diagram later.
as for for the rice flaming let him do what he wants. isnt it the purpose of the community to welcome members and not to start judging them right off the bat?

If I recall correctly, you, accsueprstar, were the first to make the rice comment, joking or not. Also, majormojo's brilliant picture clearly shows that he didn't do anything "right off the bat"...finding that clip took thought and time.

Don't listen to me.
If you are using a neon light kit that plugs in to the DC power outlet just cut the adapter off and splice it into the center console light ( just under the radio AC unit). That way the neons will turn on with your parking lights.
I have already done it to mine with very soft accent lights. Maybe I take pic and give you instructions later if I have time.
