Ugly or not....

Would you paint the Acura OEM rims white to match your PWP? Does that scream cheap or.....?

which oem rims? 04/05? 06? a-spec?

How about another color like gold? I think I saw a PWP with aftermarket gold rims, and it looked good

Sorry . I just have a thing against white wheels. You really don't like the silver A-specs? I like 'em. If I had some extra cash laying around I'd get them.

What about RonJon's?

When you say silver...which aspec are you referring to? Right now, Acura has:

1. 08W17-SEC-200C - Sparkle Silver (really look bluish silver)
2. 08W17-SEC-200B - Gunmetal color
3. 08W17-SEC-200E - Chrome look

As for the Ron Jons - they are nice, but I want to use aftermarkets parts - keep it all OEM.

I'm actually thinking of buying used stock TL wheels and having them painted PWP to match my TSX. I think they'd look good....

If this was directed at me, look at the difference between noble gold and a true gold. It's not even close. IMO, the noble would look great with PWP.

not really directed at anyone, It's a personal choice, I didn't care for the gold BBS ones that came with the white sti or gold in general on a car...but hey, that's just me. Kind of veered of course from his original question about painting them, which I was opposed to as well

Well to the OP, the Euro R roms are white right? Why not go for a set of those? I don't think the US spec OEM rims would look good in White.

but it might be interesting to actually see, who knows it might werk, but did you mean WHITE WHITE or PWP white. Cuz then it will clash if its not PWP white.

the cost to powder coat those, I would think you could find some new white wheels and not worry so much about paint matching or coming off.

Yeah....I am not feeling the gold - not a big gold anything person.... I think I'll get the chrome look aspecs. Now to decide 18" vs 17"...cheaper to go 17" and no tires required. A trustworthly seller on Ebay has the 17" listed for $1500.00 - Local dealer sells fro $2200.00 - that is obsurd....

Thanks for the pics....after checking out that wheel site, I am really beginning to like aftermarket rims particularily VOLK. Does sizing really matter? Beyond diameter do I have to be concerned with the other measurements?

Thanks, I never bought a set of aftermarket rims before besides OEM...

Sorry, don't know why/where I thought I saw them for that price.
18" tyres won't be too bad, depending on which brand and model you opt for.
Alternatively just keep saving until you can afford to go 18" if that's what you'd ultimately prefer.

Thanks - yes, no need to save but I hate to part with ~ $200/tire when my current tires 17" have only 9K on them.

BTW, do you think the 18" would look OK on my car without lowering the suspension?

I slapped on my 18's when my car was at 10K.. the OEMs are sitting in the garage.. Im sure they will come in handy one of these days

the OEM tires cost $200 but they are certainly not worth it.. do yourself a favor, get new rims and grippier tires so you can enjoy your TSX even more

They are worth it when it comes the longevity of the tires, because they can last a very long time, but when it comes to performance, the OEM's blow mice.

Yes, get better tires.

Yes, 18's will help fool the eye into thinking there's less gap all round.
As for your 17's - keep them to flog on the car when that happens or flog them for whatever you can get for them locally or ebay.
