TSX vs '03 TL - S w/Nav

Hi all. I am considering a new vehicle and was looking at the TSX. While at the dealer, I noticed they had a couple of '03 TL's Type S w/Navigation. They are asking around $28k fot he TL. A loaded TSX is about the same price. My question is which would you buy given the recent body style change in the TL?

I would only buy a 03 tl if it was 20k. I had to decide between the 03 tl and 04 tsx in april an I picked the TSX.

It TL S-Type is obviously an older bodystyle, but not a bad one, it still looks good. The backseat is a little short on the headroom, but the trunk is HUGE! It is a V6 and it sounds pretty good when you give it the gas! The TSX is better looking, more modern, the interior is 5x as nice, but it is a little weak in the power dept.
If looks and handling are more important than power and navi, get the TSX, but the TL S-Type is still a great car. Can't go wrong either way.

TL-S. I just had to make the same decision. It basically boiled down to a V6 over a 4-banger for a minimal difference in mileage. Tourque is MUCH HIGHER in the TL-S. Backseat in TSX is MUCH SMALLER.

Yeah but you bought basically 5, 6 or 7 year old technology/design in that TL-S. You won't get much in trade in (it'll be 2 models behind) when you're finally done paying it off. If the TSX wasn't quick enough for you, why didn't you just wait a year and save enough to get a 04 or 05 TL?

I wouldn't say that. The cargo volume is listed as 14.3 cubic ft., which isn't particularly large for its class -- probably about average, maybe a little above. For example, it's more than the BMW 5-series (which perhaps is your main reference point for that size-class), but less than the Saab 9-5 and even the 9-3, among others. And it isn't much more than the TSX (13.0).

The car that Gottago is asking about is exactly the car that I couldn't wait to get rid of for the TSX. Maybe to some people it might be worth buying that car for the TSX's price. As for me, I happily paid out extra to get the TSX to replace that car. But, don't go by me -- I'm an admitted moron.

You could be right about the total size, but the shape can make a difference too. Some are short and tall, others longer and flat. The TL-S just happened to fit a HUGE stroller that my cousin had with them at the time and it hadn't been fitting very well in other sedans that they were looking at. I guess it was just shaped well for that particular item which made it seem larger than most.
