I am so sad to say that my baby TSX got in an accident last week. Some stupid did not see his RED signal and I ran into him. No one got hurt, but the car is going to be a total loss.

I had the dark blue 2006 TSX with Navigation. It was very very well maintained, no door dings very minor almost invisible scratch marks. What do you think, would be a fair deal to bargain with the Insurance Adjuster for the price of the car.

 

In fair condition the car still books for 11,225, trade in, and private party is 13,290 in fair condition thats like the worst you should get if you traded in or sold so somewhere around there or higher im guessing

 

Sorry to hear about your loss. You can try and bargain with them for the KBB Suggested Retail Price "Excellent Condition" but as you are aware, insurance companies will avoid paying a dime more than they have to. I totaled my old Accord and was able to bargain with them for the "extras" including new tires and a rear disc-brake conversion I did on her. But that was like pulling teeth. Good luck.

 

You don't bargain with insurance companies. You may need to sue the insured to get any extra $$$.

 

I would check prices in you area also on like 06 tsx/navi. If they are going for say 16k and they offer only 12k, you can argue that to buy the same car it will take 16k plus ttl to get into what you had.

When they cut you the check, it should be for the cost of replacing the car plus tax, at least in pa it's like that.

they should give you the full excellent condition private party value.. so around 14-15K easily maybe more.

So i finally received 16,500 including Tax. So i had about 5 pre-paid or you can call Acura Warranty left, do you think, they will be able to transfer it from my TSX that got totalled to my MDX?

I suggest you ask the dealer.
Since your wife is the one driving the car it should be the one she wants. Good luck and many miles of safe driving. I also knows how she feels-the tsx is mine and the sonata belongs to my husband, along with his truck and motorcycle.
