soopir, I'm 36 (younger than the intended demographic for the TL) and I see myself quite nicely in the car, even with kids. If you go over to A-TL.com, you'll see a lot of younguns (teens) whose mommy and daddy want to buy them a $35k car and who are just drooling over it.
HEheh only one

that is me, and I agree, the tl is godlike

I Like it, so do the ladies

TL and TSX

Hello, I have had 2 TL's 99 & 02 and 2 TSX's 04 and 05. I loved the TL but for the overall look and fun factor the TSX 6 MT is hard to beat. I downgraded because I had had a good long distance drive in our service car, a 2000 Civic Sir and it was just more fun. I have had 17 Honda/Acura products and the TSX turns more heads and had provided me with tons of fun driving. Put it this way, when I had 70,000 k on my 04 TSX 6 speed manual I when to my dealer and got a new 05, same color, same options. Thanks Acura for building such a great car.

The TL's not that fuel inefficient. In my typical driving (60/40 highway/city) I get 23 mpg. I just did a 3000-mile round trip a few weeks ago and I got 29-30. Not bad for this fire-breathing V6. This is as good as my 2G TL, which had the base engine (225 hp). I also agree that the TSX has sufficient power. Its edge, especially against a bone stock TL, is in the handling--it is clearly superior. I had to add mods to bring my TL close to the TSX.

I'm hoping for SH-AWD in the TL. I'm positive it's coming, I just wish I knew when. And I hope they do something to reduce weight to take the SH-AWD into account; or (prays on knees) add another 30 hp to carry all that pork around.
I'm curious as to what you think about the '06 TSX and it's "geek toys" with the addition of memory driver seat, bluetooth, and portable mp3 player input. Puts the TSX a little closer to the TL I'd have to say.

Very interesting thread. My dad is thinking about getting a TL right now. It would be awesome if he does,...cause then I can steal it sometimes while he can use the TSX (which he already does). It would be TSX and its big brother when I look out the window.

I bought a 98 TL in 2000. I loved it and it had tons of energy. I kept it for 2 years. When I went back in August of this year to get another Acura I went there with intentions of the TL only. After looking at the TSX and no longer wanted the TL. The only thing I miss from my TSX is I wish it was faster. Other than that I am extremely satisfied with my car. It is comfortable, stylish, XM, and has plenty of room for myself, my husband, and our 3 boys. I plan on giving the TSX to my oldest in 6 years for his first car. Then it will be paid off and I can get another new Acura. To me, the TL is not worth the extra money and I am so glad the salesperson showed me the TSX that I have come to love so much.
