TSX on Spike TV

Spike TV will re-air the TSX comparison test with the 2.5GT, S40, and A4. It is on again at 12:30 Eastern. Just an hour away, sorry about the late notice. Just a heads up if anyone is interested.

Yeah, but we're soon going to have it as an aftermarket option.

Just caught it - thanks for the heads up!

Although the TSX doesn't have a turbo and has one of the lowest torque ratings out of the competitors, it still manages to come in first place amongst a group of discerning drivers who place high emphasis on the fun to drive factor. In this case I think it's safe to say that the current package is already very well balanced, and while a turbo might be desirable, it's hardly a necessity given the current state of the competition.

It just comes down to the law of diminishing returns. The TSX would probably be adequate for 80-90% of my driving requirements, and I wouldn't miss the other 10-20% enough to pony up the few extra g's to get a 6-cylinder.

Are turbos any more reliable than they used to be?

I am biased against turbos, although my bias comes from 10 years ago at least.

if you have two cars with equal hp, one with a turbo, one without, i would much rather have the one without the turbo. Just wait a year or two and they will have a turbo kit/supercharger for the tsx. Honda engines have the biggest aftermarket support of any engines.

this would be interesting to hear... i would think they are, mostly cuz alota companys are using them stock, i think the killer comes in when theyre run at higher psi and the parts that are associcated with it (anything in the engine i would think) that cant handle the added power would get ruined
