Hey guys I might be getting a 04 TSX with 135,000 kms (83,885 miles) on it for $11,000. I live in Canada, do you guys think this is a good deal and are there any major repairs or anything that needs to be done with it from around 135kms?

Well, most people will tell you that the 2004 model year had the most problems. Other than that these cars are quite reliable. I think a lot depends on what you plan to do with the car in terms of modifications, if anything and how the previous owner(s) maintained it. are the service records available. I would certainly do a pre-purchase inspection, shouldn't cost more than 100 bucks or so and its worth it. That should identify any glaring issues.

That said, if it were me, I would pay a bit more for an 06. That model has some upgrades from the previous years and less "known" issues. It also is a great platform for modification as hondata supports it.

Is the car you are looking at a manual? does it have navigation? I guess it all depends on your budget, but there are a lot of these cars out there and for a couple thousand more you could probably get an 06 with a few less miles. My

 

There are a lot of threads on this already, you can do a search to find them. Also, take a look at the problems & fixes section to get an idea of any issues. 04s have a few more problems than later models.

 

I would look around there are some nice ones to be had, though I don't know about canada. I wouldn't rush into buying an 04. I wish I had waited picked up an 06 instead of my 08 so I could get some HOndata love...
