Do you know what part of the car the hitch is welded to?

Sorry for my lack of terms to use, but the guy welded the rectangular tube trough the hook that is under the car. This hook is the one that they use to tie down the car when transporting it - so I was told. The tube does not stop at the hook but continues well beyond to to have it more securely fasten. I hope this helps.

It looks like you have installed ground effects or a skirt on the car...can you confirm? If so, it appears that the receiver may have a more substantial vertical gap to the bumper on a car without the skirt. Did it appear as if the welder constructed the hitch to custom set the height? Also, you posted a cost of $260 which I assume is Canadian...can you confirm?
And it was in Canadian dollars.
