Anyone have any problems with their headlights? I've gotten a recall on mine due to moisture or something that had been reported and got that replaced no problem. But, both BEFORE and AFTER the recall my right headlight appears as if it is almost squinting. When the car is idle the lights are the same intensity no problem. However, when I start moving and I look at the reflection of the lights in the cars rear bumper in front of me, it reflects a bit less intense on the right hand side than the left hand side. Anyone ever hear of this issue happening where one bulbs intensity looks brighter than the others?

 

I would guess most likely all you are seeing is the height difference between the two headlights. By default the left headlight aims a bit lower as to not blind oncoming drivers on a two lane road which may account for the discrepancy in the reflected light you are seeing.

Of course a difference in bulbs/intensity could also be too blame as new HIDs take a while to burn in to full brightness.

 

Check the alignment of the headlight beams on a a concrete wall or something equivalent. Check your owners manual to see how to adjust them correctly.

 

I just had my passenger side replaced and now its aiming a little higher than the driver side. This is NOT how it was before I had it replaced. I'm taking it in on monday for the fix.. My shifter lights went out the very same time that they replaced the headlight. I guess they'll look at this too. Sigh, seems like it never ends.
