is it CL 7 or CL 9?
i thought it's CL7, how come my dealer told me it's CL9

 

North America carries the CL9 code... its in the VIN as well.

In Japan, CL7 is for all FWD 2.0L Accords (that includes the EuroR, 20EL, and 20E). CL9 is for all 2.4L Accords (24TL, 24S, and 24T). Since our TSX's are 2.4L, the factory code follows what the JDM 2.4L Accords use - CL9.

BTW, there is also CL8 in Japan. This is for all 4WD 2.0L Accords. The Accord wagons have the codes of either CM2 or CM3.
