TSX coming in for pick up next week WOOHOO!
Well my TSX is coming in next week and I am bouncing off the walls. This will be the first new car I have ever owned, and by far the nicest.
I got the CGP/QTZ with navi. I am getting them to put on the rear wing spolier and the moonroof visor, and it comes with a prep package that has the trunk tray, mud flaps, and the clear coat protection stuff (I forget what its called).
I am getting the AT because my Fiance can not drive a manual. The deal is 29,290, I think that’s a decent deal because I called around to other dealerships and they bowed out when they heard that price.
I do have one question, today when I was at the dealership signing papers I took another close look at the TSX and noticed that it has marking on each window in the bottom right hand corner it says something like “Acura Temperlite glass”. It’s about 2 inches square and it is very pronounced. I looked on my Honda and I have this there too but it is not noticeable. I was wondering has anyone ever removed this? I felt it with my finger and it seemed like it may have been painted on or either some kind of weird sticker. I am thinking I can get it off with a razor blade, but I don’t want to scratch the glass. If its etched into the glass then I guess I am screwed.
I just don’t like how prominent it looks. Am I the only one that wants this gone?
I will post pics once I get it next week. I might wait until the windows are tinted though, which will be a couple days after getting it.

Congrats on the new ride!
Sorry, don't know about the little sticker things on the windows. I don't ever pay attention to it, I just know it's there and it says Honda on mine (I have an '04).

Hey dude. First off, I love your username
I too have a 2006 CGP. Although the window etching didn't really bother me like it did for you, I got the shop the tinted my windows to remove all the extra window stickers and take off the same markings you're talking about. It isn't really etched into the glass, but its on there good. They managed to get it from being big and black to being very translucent and almost gone, but still readable if you stare really hard. Now they look like I would think they should, which is that its there, but unnoticeable unless you're looking.
Just wanted to give you a heads up that a window tint place (or yourself and some cleaning products) can remove 90% of it.

awesome, thanks for the help. Do you have your windows tinted on your TSX? I am wondering if i should get 30% or 20% tint. I want it to be pretty dark but not completely black. I have 35% on my honda right now, and i want the TSX to be a slight bit darker.
btw, the username is because I am a big computer gamer and I play a lot of FPS, so thats the explanation behind it

35% on my CGP still looks pretty dark. I had 20% on my previous car (white benz) and I thought it was just a little too dark. 5% or so is just splitting hairs, but I'm very happy with what I got.

The bouncing off the walls will be well worth it. I picked up my Glacier Blue/Quartz 6 sp. on April 1st and I've had the smiley face ever since. Wait till you drive off the lot.....the new smell....the quiet........the road manners......all top notch. I got the 6 speed and there's none better.....soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo smooth! I still go out to the garage at night just to look and drool......:-).

Happy for you. Hope you enjoy your T just as much as I do. Too bad you couldn't get the 6-speed. I bought stick and made my girl learn. I just don't like Autos.

I finally saw a couple pics of a TSX with the moonroof visor and now i am not sure that i like it all that much. Is the dealer going to have to drill holes in the roof to put it on? If so i might tell them to leave it off. I want the option of removing it if i end up not liking it.
Do you guys know?
sccpu3d you got any pics? besides your avatar ofcourse

Congrats! I just got mine last Sunday. Are you sure you want a wing? I think the TSX looks much better without it and a wing on a 4 DR looks kind of funky IMO.

welcome aboard!
regarding the moonroof visor, no drilling required. it's 4 brackets and adhesive holding the visor in place. personally i installed it for a friend and it doesn't look hot. it lowers windnoise a little but it obscures half the moonroof view.

I called today and its at the dealer, I am stuck in Alabama this week for work though so I can't pick it up until later in the week
I told the sales guy to leave off the moonroof visor until after I saw it without it on there. I am having second thoughts about it.
I also told them not to send it through any kind of automatic washer, I don't want to have scratches on it when I get it.
Anyone have a pic of a CGP with a spoiler and moonroof visor? or just the moonroof visor? I have seen some pics on the boards, but not really any GOOD pics that shows the car well with it.
I wonder if i need to tell the dealership not to put any kind of dealer decals on the paint....

depends on the dealer but some acura dealerships do include their logo...i personally told my dealer not to include anyd ealer tags on the car, they HAD it on there and removed it with no damage done to the paint...so make sure ug ive them a call!
