Is there a big difference in power in sports shift mode than a regular manual tranny?

and can you red line it? or is there like a govenor where you can only go a few rpms past what the auto tranny will allow? thanks!

i'd recommend checking the FAQ and/or performing a search. i'll answer your first question but let you do the rest: yes, there is sport shift on the AT

It will let you bounce off the rev limiter in every gear if you want.

I think most of this is in your owners manual.

Oh... well in that case.
The two trannys are pretty different.
The major thing is the difference in gearing.
The manual tranny has much more aggressive gearing than the auto.
The auto's gearing is more for efficiency.

You can rev high with both using the manual or the SS. Yes there is a rev limiter. The rev limiter will kick in on both neutral and when it's in gear.
It just depends on which one you actually want.
