it's that time folks..I have decided to trade in my white pearl 06/navi in for a bigger luxury car. I test drove the GS300, BMW 525i, and will be test driving the Infinity M something...OBW I test drove the new MDX (awesome) but it has to be a sedan. which one should I pick? I have 2 kids and my TSX was a bit too small. I thought about the TL but damn.. it just looks like an accord on crack or steroids (
) please advise...

525i is too empty IMO, underpower and the interior is ugly. BMW stack up some bricks and there you go, 5 series' dashboard.

How does the Honda Accord differ from the TSX? I know it's based on the JDM Inspire, but not having that here in Europe, I've no idea whether it's similar size or slightly more roomy.
What about Acura RL, used or ex demo id new price is too much?
I personally wouldn't touch the 525 or 30 since they are underpowered for the weight they lug around. 3.0L 6 that barely makes 215 and 255 hp respectively.
I'd sooner go the Lexus route - better build quality and reliability, as well as superb customer service.
It's a shame you guys haven't got the 535D - now that is a beast of a diesel engine. How much it would cost though, is another thing.

I would def look more into the G35 or the M, i think Infinite makes really nice quality cars.
If you are really stuck between a BMW or a Lexus, i would def go with Lexus for reliability and lower maintenance!! Those GS series are awesome cars if you got the money!

RacingHArtAcura - Yea i know they include it, but after that warranty is up is what i referring too. My friends and family that have had BMW's have always had a lot of maintenance after like 5-7 years. So i guess it depends on how long you are looking to hold onto the car for.

If I were in your shoes, I'd go for the GS or perhaps an RL

Id say go for the Infinite G35 or M.... BMW 5 series isnt all that nice unless you go right up to the M series... Toyota hmm.... nice cars.. if you go for that id go for their Hybrid GS series.. save gas, good power and big car.. thats my 2 cents..

Get an Audi A6. You'll be very pleased by the Quattro AWD system. Also, Audi took care of some of their reliability issues (turned out to be supplier, so they switched), but it still probably won't be quite as reliable as an Acura or a Lexus. However IMO, the A6 wins hands down in the styling department. And the Audi interiors are the best. You should just keep test driving all of your options and see what you like the best.

GS...I love BMWs, but a 5 doesn't have that much more room, and if you are considering family, the Lex offers a quieter, more serene ride (not handling). The RL would be a great option too.
I hear what you are saying though....the TSX is way too small now that I have 2 kids (1 infant and one 4 year old). The infant car seat limits how far the passenger can move back, and my 4 years old's footprints are all over the back of the driver's side seat. We take our Sienna everywhere now.

I would go with the Lexus GS350 RWD or AWD deprnding on where you live. The new GS350 V6 has more hp than the GS430 with a V8. The one thing I don't like about the Lexus are the wheels on the 350 models.
My second choice would be the Infiniti M35 Sport or AWD. I really like the looks of the M but it has 275 hp when the lexus has 303hp. Depends on what you want and the M and GS go from 45-50 thousand dollars.
I think the BMW's are underpowered and overpriced compared to the other two. The 530i had 255hp and starts around 49 thousand base price. One thing the BMW has is that you never pay anything for sevice when you are under warranty.
Thats just my opinion. Good luck!

It never ceases to amaze me the amount of people that buy a new car and several months later get rid of it. I honestly believe that some people wake up in the morning, get in their car, drive to a dealer and say "That looks good, I'll take it" like buying a piece of fish. ![Why Me](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/whyme.gif)
Its no wonder why I got $2k knocked off my price. Keep up the good work

The C-class is just the right size for me although I wouldn't mine going to the E-class for my next car. Audi's are nice looking cars.....the problem is reliability.

Personally I think the G35 looks so much better than the M35!
If I were to get the 5 series, I would get at least 530 - the 525 is so underpowered...
Lexus GS300 is nice, but it certainly is not that sporty.
I would go with the G35 myself....

Yes Lexus has the highest level of satisfied customers etc etc, but there are things you get with a name, Lexus is still a toyota and toyota people arent as car crazy as BMW peeps or even Acura/Honda people. When I had my 330ci, I would have old people, young people stop and want to talk about bmws. In my TSX, I get the same thing, CLs, TLs, the whole bit people always want to talk shop, which I totally dig...its a car club thing. The IS has somewhat of a following, but its not recognized by just the engine like us Vtec people or chassis types like bmws. Thats the one thing lexus hasnt tapped into yet. If you get a GS, you may have some rappers that want to talk about dubs and such.
