Trade In 08 TSX, How much?
How much do you guys think a 08 TSX with Nav is worth trade in? Got it brand new last year and it has 19k miles already. Looking to get something bigger but don't wanna lost too much money on it. Thanks!

you are not going to get want you want if you trade it. Try selling it privately. I thought about trading my 06 tsx when the 09's came out. Decided not to and very happy. My car is paid for. I have almost 65,000 miles after almost 2 years. (11/17)I love to drive as you can tell.

You best option would be a private sale. Otherwise, you are likely paying the dealer from 2-4k to sale your car. That is a generous sales commission.

I'm sure you have your reasons to trade, but wow, 08 is the limited edition since its the last year before the facelift (or lack there of) in the 2nd Gen.
Sell privately but I can't believe you are getting rid of an excellent car and an 08 at that.

I believe you'll loose a lot of money.. If you trade-in, I expect around 18-20K or even less.. plus, if you buy a new car, (I'm assuming) you'll be paying more than 30K or more easily right? so total net loss is = 10K loss in TSX trade-in + the extra money that you have to put in to get your new car, i.e. 10K or more (after getting the 20K from your trade-in) = 20K or more of loss..
I recommend you to keep the car, as the '08 is a great car.. but if you really need to sell it, go for a private party.. I don't think its that painful to sell a car to a private buyer, just takes some patience.
Best of luck!

Didn't go to the Acura dealer for oil changes so they don't like me. I do my own oil changes so I know what goes into my car. I know its a nice car and all but I really want something bigger.
How much you guys think I can sell it for private?

Private sale value varies quite a bit by geography. Check edmunds.com or even see if Carmax has any of them in your area. The important thing is to find out how much others are selling them for. If they're only going for 20k in your area, you won't be able to get 23k out of it. And yes I just pulled those numbers out of my rear, but you get the point. The market will dictate the resale value.
Have you figured out what you're going to trade it in on yet? If you have, see what the dealer will give you for it. It shouldn't cost you anything to have it looked at while you're test driving. And if they try to low ball you, you know where the door is. I wound up getting $500 more than I could have gotten private sale for my last car when I traded it in, but YMMV. I had to use the door a few times before I got that, and I was getting an 08 in a time when they were trying to get rid of the 08's.

If u want to trade in some thing bigger. ur best bet is 08-09 Honda Accord/06-07 RL in similar price range. try to find Honda/Acura dealear that has year CPO Accord/RL. I believe TSX holds value better than Accord/TL/RL. Acura dealers will be more favourable in disposing RLs.

Eh, the 08-09 Accord isn't that much bigger than the TSX. It certainly doesn't feel like it from the interior anyway. I can't comment on the RL. I never test drove one and I don't know anybody who has one. If you're going to go used Acura, definitely go CPO. Not that I think you're going to get a better car, but you do get a better warranty. The 08 Camry feels a lot bigger than the TSX. The cabin is quite spacious, and with the Sport package, it doesn't look all that bad. And you get a much better interior.
