What is this massive Mass you are referring to?

I was thinking that truck had a bigger engine that burned more fuel. Since it used more fuel, it meant the (more) fuel had higher density; putting more "mass" into the cylinders to push the pistons down.

No, the truck has bigger or more cylinders, thus it ingests more air. for 14.7 parts of air, you need at least 1 part fuel. When accelerating, you need even more than the 1 : 14.7 ratio. Multiply that by RPM/2 for a 4-stroke engine, then you have a rough estimate of fuel consumption.

You've yet to realize that many engines make their peak torque well below their redline - ala 1800 - 2800 rpm.

Or are you working that in to your self-proclaimed torque formula?

wow. this is actually the first suggestion that makes sense in this thread!

THe only ways to increase torque significantly are to increase engine displacement, or increase the volume of air admitted in the cylinders for combustion (i.e. turbocharger or supercharger). The NOS will also yield results.

As far as physics are concerned, lets just say that we have some failures early in this thread!

But you didn't learn the relationship between torque, power, work and energy. So please read that link before you start mixing diesel into your fuel.

Doesn't seem you learned anything out of it though.

They were in mine as well. Do you still remember what you learnt? If you don't, then it is alright to read up to refresh. It's better than doing something stupid to your car to increase torque.
