Took the plunge!! Question, Navi or No Navi?
Well, I went over to Scottsdale Acura in Arizona and put some money down to hold a SSM/Quartz/Navi TSX. I got a good price of $27,490 + ttl!!
However, I am still considering going without the Navi. I believe I would use the Navi, but Im just not sure how much. Plus, if I dont spend the extra money, I could get my rims and suspension sooner than later.
Thoughts?? Comments??

I don't have the navi and I'm happy with it. However, I don't recall ever reading anyone who got one and wished they didn't. On the other hand, there have been posters who did not get one and wish they did. If the extra $2K isn't that big of a deal then go for it.

What it really boils down to is this...
From what I have heard and read from TL and TSX owners is for those who got the navi they don't regret it and would definitely get it again.
BUT...those who didn't get the navi also don't regret their decision for a variety of reasons (save money, don't use it, etc.)
So it's about the same. If you've never had a navigation system before and have done okay and you want to save some money then you may be able to pass on navi...that's the side I am on.
If you think you desperately need it and will use it more often than not...and $2K isn't a big deal for you then go for it.

I asked this same question back in late December when i was ready to purchase my TSX. I was on the fence, and honestly wasn't blown away by the navi demo I saw when I went for my test drive.
My number one priority was to get the configuration I wanted (at a steal). So if it happened to have navi, then great. If not, then oh well. I ended up with a non-navi.
Have there been times when I wish I had it? Sure! But overall, I'm happy with my decision.

The price of Navi is only going to go down as the technology gets older and more mass produced. When that happens, (say...by the time I get my next car) I'll bet the Nav will be an option for MUCH less than 2k! Newer technology is always way too expensive.
While the nav is awesome, its not worth the 2k, IMHO. Would I love to have the nav?? sure, but not at 2k.

The cockpit isn't nearly as sweet without the Navi. Plus, if you're getting an '05, the XM radio is integrated into the Navi screen, along with the climate control system, etc. Trust me, you'll be kicking yourself if you don't get it. Navi looks so sweet, especially at night!

You have a point, but like all technology, it's never a good time to buy. If you end up waiting and waiting and waiting, either 1) The NAVI that was priced $2000 is not $500 but obsolete or 2) you keep waiting.
Remmeber not too long ago when Pentium 100 chips were a few grand?

IWanna bet that there will never ever ever ever be a voice activated navigation system that controls audio, temp controls and the navigation system for $500. I don't care how long you wait! Inflation will keep the price up. IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN! I don't think any navigation system will ever be a $500 option. Ever!
And if you don't get the Navi....you will wish you did at some point. Why spend that much money on a car and skimp out on the feature that makes it stand out above the rest? I can't relate.
