thanks, im about to hit 100k on my TL and i want to sell it before i hit that mark. i'm on my 3rd tranny so basically warentee expires after 100k so i dont want to be stuck with a car knowning that my tranny will fail. i dont want switch, but it will help me out in the long run..

pic of my car (process of parting it out):

Why are you getting rid of your TL? It's nice!!!!! However, the TSX is nice as well.

if u get an 05, you will also get standard xm radio and power passenger seat. if those really dont matter much, u can save a couple G's gettin an 04

any choices on color?

Like Ravi, I am sick of the acura/honda V6 and auto tranny issues as I have a 2001 v6 Accord on its 3rd tranny and I am at 3000km (1800mi) from the 100,000mi mark... so I was also looking at TSX, 6spd TL.

As far as I know, the only problem with TSX is that you have slightly less power than a V6 at the expense of better cornering. As well, nice decent styling. As for major problems, I doubt many, but the engine is a high compression engine; read: neglecting oil changes and revving it to near red line esp. on regular fuel = you will be more at risk to burning oil vs. our lower compression Accord v6/TL/CL.

I had this very same dilemma, 'cept the '06 tsx vs. the '06 tl. Everything on the TL's featured on the tsx and the only exception is the extra HP and torque as well as that killer body. Other than that I couldn't justify the extra CDN$8k for the TL. I even talked to the salesperson and he said that the tsx is the better choice; especially as it's made in .jp

Nove 28th is when it's supposed to hit my dealership and hopefully I'll take possession on the 29th... xmas gonna cum early!

well the 05, 06 doesnt fit in my budget.. and i could care less about xm radio and power passenger seat =) as long as the driver seat is adjustable lol.. but yea, im planning on putting down 15k and financing the rest. since im in college, i dont want large payments. i'm looking for a tsx 6speed w/ navi. I know the TSX's are slow, but comptech supercharger is in the works right .

hopefully you guys can help me out on this purchase because i like to mod cars and i've seen my share of goodlooking/ugly tsx's and i want to do some simple mods like drop and some wheels for now. i'm sick of the 'jdm look' eventho it is "in" right now. and the mugen grille looks like a big hole to me, but it looked good on my car.

if you know anyone selling there tsx let me know, last resort for me would be the 5speed auto. tip tronic is fun since i had it in my last car, but with a 4 banger i think 6 speed is neccessary to be able to enjoy the power better =)

thanks again for the comments, ill be posting in here a lil bit more. my car is still for sale so im not ready to buy as of yet. - ravi

don't buy a used tsx for its speed...if you want speed...you should just get a used 03 or 04 g35 coupe under 30k miles...they can be had right now for 20K +/- 2-3K...if you look hard enough, autotrader.com and such....

but i came from a 96 Civic coupe D16Y8 vtec 1.6 Liter greddy turbo'd (6psi) engine...to my TSX 2.4L...so i can tell you my tsx has much better driveability off-the-line and on regular city-streets..but once my turbo keeek-in on my civic, its over for the tsx....

but come to think of it, you're downgrading from a TL to a TSX....hrrm...TL will eat a TSX off the line and in the 1/4.

Also, wasn't the comptech supercharger put on hold?

not buying it for speed, if i could get a g35 coupe i'd be all over that, but i dont see any in my area for that cheap.
