Ticket advice?

Ticket advice?
A cop just gave me a ticket for not having my front license plate. That's fine, I can put it on...no big deal until I see that he scheduled a court date for me. This is such a waste of time!
Is there any way I can make this into a fix-it-ticket??? Anyone's advice will be much appreciated ~

Bakersfield, California
There is three options
1. Court address
2. Police Department
3. To be notified
I'm assuming 2 would be the fix-it-ticket but I didnt get that option. He checked the court address option and put 10-19-07 as the date.

you should go to the CHP and they will sign the ticket after u correct the violation. Than go to the court and pay for the fine. That should clear everything. i got a front plate ticket twice.

They always give a court date as an option.
Fix the problem (put a front plate on), call CHP or local P.D. to schedule an appt to see and to have an officer write off the "fix it ticket". There will be payment to do so (back in the day, the CHP did it out of courtesy). Once the ticket is written off as approved by the police/CHP, you can hand deliver it to traffic court. There's most likely another fine you'll need to pay. If you're still not sure what to do...

That's more or less how it is in California.
With fix-it tickets, you have to have the ticket signed off by a CHP officer. I had to have a ticket for no proof of insurance signed off. Not sure what this fee for signing off is all about, the CHP office I went to did it for free.
After you do that, depending on the court, you can either mail in your ticket along with any extras they may want or show proof in person (at the court date assigned), depending on the situation.
I used to live in Merced County, and they're big on court appearances (even if you're not from the area)...it's pathetic. They also require you to pay everything before the court closes the day of your appearance. I remember with one of my tickets, I had an appearance at like 3:00. Court didn't end until 3:45, and they closed at 4. They required me to pay the ticket ($400 big ones) before 4!
Was the fastest I made it to an ATM in my life! lol

you guys need to pay even after you fix it? o_0 (that's what I seem to be reading)
In OR, I got pulled over for speeding once (sting operation) and the cop just added a charge for no front plate along with my speeding ticket. I just went to court and told the judge that I fixed it (he didn't even ask for proof) and he dismissed the charge for the front plate and received a discount for my speeding ticket.

it's like that here too. i just had to get a cop to sign off the fix it ticket verifying that I did indeed put the front plate back on. then i had to submit the ticket to the court and they charged me a $10 "processing" fee. that's it.

Sorry guys but this is an "off topic" discussion as it is not TSX specific. Please discuss it there https://acurazine.com/forums/.
