Cool

IMHO, Comptech is the best.

-Deep, tone. Not throaty like the Tanabes.
-Stainless steel exhaust tips are nice and not oversized like the Greddy's.

I would like to thank clee109 for sharing these clips with me which are his current setup One of the best IMO.

I really like the sound/performance of the Comptech exhaust and I'm seriously considering installing one. However, after watching the first video clip, I noticed that there is a lot of exhaust vapor exiting the pipe during hard revving. Does the Comptech system leave black exhaust soot on the rear bumper like a lot of other aftermarket systems do?

I get some around the tips which washes off every time I clean the car. I do polish the tips and the rear cans 2-3 times a year, depending upon how bad winter was. I use a simple chrome/aluminum polish by Megs.

Dyno Run w/out Quiet Tips

Dyno Run with Quiet Tips

*View mods b/c its a lot louder than if you just replace the exhaust

There was some vapor because I hadn't warmed up the car completely.

Also that video was when the exhaust was brand new, it got a smidge lower after some driving.

Now I have the RT cat and CT header installed too which dramatically changes the sound. I do have a video with just the RT cat installed (no header)

However; I am considering a J's Racing exhaust just for something new.
