Is there something wrong with my tsx?

Ok i recently purchased a 2007 tsx with 42k miles on it. The first thing that i noticed when driving it back home was the gas meter went down quite fast. from what i've read is that the average mpg for the tsx is 22mpg, and my car is telling me that i am averaging around 20. I am trying to drive the car as efficiently as possible, but it still stays around 20. I do drive mostly city, but 20mpg still seems kind of low. I was hoping that you guys can give me any tips on how to save gas on the tsx or if there is something wrong with my car. Thanks.

If you're getting 20 mpg city, I'd say you're getting pretty good gas mileage. I wish I got 20 mpg with my TSX driving in the city.

I've notice the gas gauge moves down faster after the 1/2 tank mark. I can usually drive about 200-225 miles to a 1/2 tank mark. I can only drive about another 100-150 miles from 1/2 tank to when the low fuel light comes on.

Depending on your driving habits and conditions, 20 mpg average sound like the range for just city driving.

everything sounds normal on ur car ... the only way to gain mpg is reduce weight, so u can take all the trash out of ur car, and remove the spare tire, etc.

what car did u own before the tsx?

There is nothing wrong with your TSX. The fuel gauge do seem to move down a little faster compared to other cars, especially during city driving. You could try to reset one of the trip meters, which will also reset the corresponding MPG computer to start off fresh. Don't be alarm by the weird numbers within the first few miles as it calculates MPG based on those number of miles driven.
