I just picked up a 04 TSX 6SP and i was wondering hows the theft rate?
I'm planning to pick up an alarm but im like 50/50.

Anyone here have a after market alarm ( Viper, Clifford etc etc )?

Not an overwhelming theft rate, though having an alarm on any car is a good idea

Get one if you live in the ghetto or park in a high crime rate

I agree with everyone else...unless you live in an area with a very high crime rate I wouldn't really worry about it being stolen. Thieves are usually after cars that are either really easy to steal or really expensive (i.e. worth a lot more than an entry level acura). The oem alarm and immobilizer feature are probably enough to deter most thieves, it's just not worth the trouble.

He has a 6sp. How many thugs know how to drive stick? I know valets that can't!! I think the second they see the stick, they move on. Less than 10% of the pop can drive a standard tranny. Add that to the immobilizer and you're pretty well protected. I remember the integra got ripped off a lot for the VTEC engine by Ricer Honda fans. not anymore!

Sad part is the DOHC VTEC engines in GSR's and Type R's are still being stolen daily. The B series engine was designed in 1991!
