hi. i'm not sure if this has been asked before...but...i was trying to take a picture of my tach while reving the engine...i had it on park(obviously) with the parking break on...anyways...my question is...when i stepped on the gas pedal to get my rpm's up..i noticed that it would not go pass 5,000rpm...the car was kinda like sputtering and the needle stopped at 5,000rpm..it felt weird also on the gas pedal..anybody know anything about this or is this normal?
by the way....while i drive theres no problem...like when i go pass 60 in 2nd-3rd gear..i can rev it as high as i want...

this has been discussed in a couple of threads, you are not allowed to rev past 5000rpm while the car is in park or neutral.
