Sympathy vote

I just felt the need to share my current plight. I was supposed to receive my car on Thursday, and then the dealer called saying they couldn't locate it. I was immediately suspicious, but they got in touch with the shipping companies and found out my car (by tracking VIN) is in San Diego. Seems like any freight boat some containers get selected to be inspected by customs. My car happened to be sitting in those. So now customs has my car until hopefully Tuesday when it's going to get loaded on a train. I'm usually a pretty patient person, but I'm driving around in a 98 Ford Taurus auto, and I want out.

You certainly have my vote as I know how you feel. Keep the positive thought that I have, which is "it is worth the wait".

Good luck with your waiting.

Enjoy that auto as long as you can my friend. Oh, and hope to God the customs officers don't decide to do a really thorough search.

good luck, its worth the wait.

It will be here, and it will be good.
I have a feeling you'll be making up for lost time soon enough.

It was probably impounded when they found that the glove box was stuffed full of opium. It will wind up in an ATF auction.

Not much of a "dealer throw in" if you had to pay for it.

People should check out Rob Cockerham's exposé on tattoo removal before doing such things:

Bellybutton marks the spot...

Or maybe it's like the back cover of Mad magazine...

When I was 10 my mom used to date that guy. He was really cool. Except he always bought the cheap vodka with the plastic cap. And his weed smelled like straw.

OK, now the dealer says he has confirmation it's left customs and is on it's way. He said it is supposed to arrive on Monday. Anyone want to place bets on the actual arrival date? January 20th is already taken.
