im pretty sure that the 2004-2006 TSX had the newest generation navigation unit from honda/acura while the current generation TL still had the previous generation. Although i think the 2007 TL was upgraded with real time traffic. Not too sure why you have issues with the TSX navi, its one of the best OEM navigation units on the market

There was a post a while back where someone installed a tsx navi into his non-navi. If you can find out who it was, maybe he can tell you why he used the tsx navi instead of the tl navi

i have the '04 navi, it's as nice as any i have seen, not sure why you would bother to replace it if it was working.

I asked a sales guy at Acura dealership and he said all the Navis use the same soft, just some different buttons

The 2006 TL had the previous Navigation system that was on the 2004-2005 TSX. The 2007 finally has the updated system like the 2006-2007 TSX. So yes last years TL the older Nav than our cheaper TSX.

The Navi in the TL is the older Navi. It would be a step backwards for you guys. Now if you got the 07 TL navi then it would be a step forwards.

I think what he meant is the"LOOK" of the navi, the buttons around the navi. I must say that the TL Navi console area looks nicer, while the TSX is just simple.

yeah, and when your fumbling with buttons on the rode, simpler is always better for safety, atleast thats been my experience with my nav in my 06

i remember a post when someone did this with an 06 accord navi which is the same as an 06 tsx one.

you just unplug the dvd unit in the trunk and plug in the new one and it works fine supposedly.

the new one has a different cpu, dvd etc.

if it makes you any happier, there's plenty of ways to customize your navigation. Search through the menu's and you change plenty of colors and what not. The navigation system is defintley one of the top systems out there. Also, Acura is generous with size of the screen.. gotta love that

You can upgrade the DVD to the latest edition -- that sometimes changes the look on the screen as well.
