sunglasses holder

what's up with the sunglasses holder... is it just big that it makes my sunglasses rattle like crazy when it's in there. I've had The same type of sunglasses holder like in the rx-8 and it never did that. What do you guys do:

a). remove the sunglasses

b) wrap something around the sunglasses to prevent it from shaking?

c) just live with it

My car creaks and I brought it already to the dealer and kept it for a couple of days then it seemed okay for a day then, it's back to squeak city again. Sounds like it's coming from the center console. Maybe where the blue light is at.

This is a great car but sheez, these squeaks/creaks is really testing my patience. Sorry had to vent a little, my car only like 200miles on it and it's already doing this...

I don't get any rattles either. How big are you sunglasses?

I occasionally have the sunglass problem, but it is relieved by repositioning them. They've been in there unused for months and I haven't heard a peep (gotten lazy with contact lenses these days). I assume you've tried that already?

I put a piece of rag in there to prevent rattling and to wipe the dust off the glasses when needed.

I can only hear mine rattle when i have the sound turned up really high and playing something like trance...but then again all sorts of things start shakin' at that level.

I heard it one time, shortly after getting the car, figured out what it was and "reconfigured" the sunglasses up there. Have not heard the noise since. Simple fix.

I've used different pairs of shades in the holder and never heard them rattle at all. I actually really love it - something very james bond about pushing the holder and having them slowly come down.

I've modified my holder a bit. When the moment arises...I just tap the holder and because of my extensive mods, a condom falls into the lap of that night's ho. Or for Mr.Bond, that paticular movie's Bond girl.

hehe:P

I have to same sunglass as gsclifton (Juliet X-metal) never had a problem with the holder. Actually this is the only car I can really use the holder because most of the other car's holder are too small for my glasses.
But i usually wrap it with Smith's synthetic cloth to prevent scratches and i also use it to clean my nav screen
