So I am nearly there with my decision to go with a TSX but still have 2 outstanding issue (which I hope to resolve on Sat.) and want to get thoughts on. Can XM be added to a Navi car AND how would you rate the stereo, in general, in the TSX? I am going from an A4 with Bose that has a center channel speaker in the dash and am pretty happy with the clarity and imaging from the stereo, can the TSX compete?

The stereo in the TSX is average, in my opinion. I think better speakers could have been used. Several people have also complained about door rattle when listening to their stereo. Also, FM reception is a little weak, probably because the antenna is incorporated into the windshield.

I love my TSX, but the stereo is not one of its strong points. For me, the driveability of this car is what sold me.

I think that the stereo in the TSX is great for a factory installed system. Certainly, there are better aftermarket components, but the stereo in the TSX is at least as good or better than the Lexus and the Lincoln I've owned previously. The balance and clarity are quite good. I'm actually quite happy with the stereo in the TSX and am a little of an audio snob in my home theatre system (Klipsch Reference speakers, etc).

I would agree with the previous reply that the FM reception is not strong, but I mostly play CD music and rarely listen to the radio, so it is not an issue for me.
