Spoiler on a 2005

We were at the dealer today finalizing all the paperwork for our 2005 TSX, due at the end of this month. We decided to add a spoiler to the car; $699!!
Ouch! Is that what everybody who has a spoiler paid?
The closer said it cost that much because the installation takes two hours.

I can't imagine that installation takes 2 hours. I had an aftermarket spoiler added and the body shop charged me 75 bucks to do it...

Get one from Spolierdepot.com you can get it painted and its PERFECT then have the Acura Dealership install it for you

For the Spoiler and the Acura installation i was slightly under $300

that is a rip off...at my local dealer..they wanted $700+ for foglights and installation... thats why i never got them..i think they charge like $98 per hour and if they figure they will take 2 hours to do it even if it only takes them 1 hour they will charge you for the 2 hour install for labor..then again..anything from the dealer will usually cost you and arm & a leg....

700!!

i paid for the fogs from h and a accesories, got it installed at a profesioanl body shop, that does dealer work for 200. so 400, not bad at all, cleanest job ive seen, everything works perefectly, dealership did not even mention to me if i had foglights done, probably thought i bought it like that.

I just had them throw the spoiler and fog lights installed for free w/ the car... But on my last car, I ordered a spoiler from a dealership (painted & shipped) for $175, and installed it myself in about an hour. Not very difficult. 5 holes to be drilled, a wire to run in the trunk, and a couple trunk springs to replace. Most DIY'ers would have no problems...

i'm buying one from ebay...oem for $240 and install it myself..many people here have asked how to wire it to where you can have the fogs on with just the parking light...thats exactly what i'm gonna do...all you need to do is get a relay switch for it...will post pics when i get it...

Note that you said "a" spoiler from "a" dealership. Certainly not the TSX spoiler from an Acura dealer, since its suggested retail price is $599. If it is, do let me know because my dealer said they'll match the price of any dealership.

Right, but that's just the official cost of the part. The small print says installation is extra.

Install it yourself, or goto a nearby shop to do it.

$699 doesn't make ANY sense.

I just checked Acura's "ownerslink" and the part is $599 and total cost with installation with the dealer, I would use, would run $734 IMHO not worth it.

If you order the spoiler now b/c you can't wait be sure you can pay for it seperately or you will be paying an additional interest cost on it, via your finance arrangement.

I am still waiting for the deck lid spoiler to be released from Acura for the TSX.
