Curious is all.

2005 w/ or w/o navi in the Chicago area??? Anyone?

Also, any rumors on the '06s. It really doesn't matter but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Thanks.

Only rumor thus far on the '06 is an anticipated bump in power. Nothing dramatic, just about 10 or 20 crank hp.

Play nice Dan. Scrib isn't used to the rough and tumble world of Acurazine TSX Community.

New 2005 TSX Price

I just put a deposit down for a 2005 TSX black/parchment/Auto/NAV for $27,500 + TTL in Texas.

It should arrive in early July.

Welp... It's no secret from the thread over in OT Car Talk that I'm at least kicking the tires. I could probably pull off getting into a new TSX for next to nothing out of my pocket.

It's an intereting thought, if nothiing more.

Join the team Scrib. An 06 TSX with Hondata will be a potent machine.

Sept-Oct.

Wait, just realized you need an AT right?

An AT might not be the right car for you coming from an G35 coupe.

Test drive one, but like most coming from V6's you'll probly feel it needs more power.

Pull a mattg and look at the Leg GT. Even the AT version shold have enough power for you.

I'm beginning to realize that power ain't all that. I've never pushed my car remotely close to its limit. It'll never see a drag strip nor a road course. And street racing is just plain stupid. Does the TSX have enough to get up and merge on the highway? I'm sure it does. Technically, that's all I need.

Power isn't something that I lust for any more. Unless it's a corvette or something. I think I'm starting to get old.

BTW... Nothing against Matt and his Subie, but I'm not a big fan of the Legacy. It just doesn't "fit" me.

This is what I mean by the "Brightside".

I have an AT TSX Scrib. It has more than enough power to merge onto a highway. Sure there are days when I wish it had more power but 97% of the time it has all the power I'll ever need. Go out and test drive one and see if it fits you.

Thumbs up

From the dealer...

$28,040 for a TSX w/ NAVI and all season mats, trunk tray, wheel locks.

$27,500 for my G35 coupe.

So for another $500 I get a new car???

from a different thread in Car Talk, i think i remember seeing that G35's resale values are pretty high. why don't you try selling it yourself? a 6MT coupe would be pretty easy to sell, i presume.

I could go that route, but you gotta remember... On a $28,000 new car purchase, I would have to pay sales tax @ 6%. That's $1680. So I'd have to get at least $29,000 to make up for that versus a potential trade to the dealer where it's tax only on the difference; $500 ---> $30

Sounds like you just got yourself a new car Scrib

But why not give the wife another week or so of figuring out the MT? Don't get me wrong I think a TSX would be perfect for you but I just don't want to see you later regret it because you ran out of patience too quickly.

I havn't checked that other thread so I'm not sure if she's made any progress.

I'm not going to run out tonight and buy it. We'll see how it goes. Knowing me, I'll probably keep the Infiniti.

No, my stock 2004 radio can NOT display the title and artist or current song playing. But I think the XM satellite does, which is standard on the 2005's in the US.

That's a haul for me.

I purchased my CL for McGrath in Westmont. I took my Dad there when he bought his MDX. But even that is a drive for me.

Orland Park is much more preferred. It's just down the street from my Infiniti dealer.

It's right on the highway (41)... It's worth the haul, but I understand. I really wouldn't want to have to go to Indiana every time I needed to service my car...

In all seriousness... It is a great machine. One of the better balanced FWD cars I've driven. Nice cabin. Fit me well, but I'm only 5'8". All the toys I've grown accustomed to on the G, sans the RDS.

We'll see if I have some time to get over there and drive it again this week.
