Slight vibration in rear-view mirror and some creaking sound.

Hi Everyone,

I've noticed that my rear view mirror vibrates when I play music with some extra bass. Just wondering if this is normal or is it time to pay a visit to the dealer?

Also, when I go over bumps I notice a creaking sound coming somewhere from the passenger side. The sound is pretty low and noticeable when you pay close attention. Did anyone has this issue as well?

Thanks.

The door seals and sunroof seals often make a 'creaking' noise while driving. Most noticable when the radio is off. The dealer should know how to fix this. They put some kind of "low-friction" tape on it and lube it up. They did this to my sunroof 2 years ago and its been quiet ever since. However my doors are making the noise now so I'm gonna have them fix that as welll next oil change. Its in one of the Service Articles if you want to find it.

As for the mirror, I upgraded all my speakers and added a sub soon after getting the car, so my mirror always vibrates lol. I would asume that is normal though if you have it loud with heavy bass.

the noise is from the seals getting dry. dirt gets suck in between the seals and body. if your out of factory 4-50 then go to the dealer and ask for shitnisu grease. clean the seals and add a thin coat of the grease. also the mirror tell them it is loose over bump and they should put a new one in.

The grease only fixes it temporarily, maybe a few weeks. They put the grease on twice to my doors and noise comes back. You really need that special tape they put between the seal and the door. If you can find out what it is, you can probably do it yourself.

Yeah, my mirror vibrates also. Did it with my old car too, and doesn't bother me. Sometimes the side view mirrors vibrate too
