I got this question...my light indicator for the side airbag off doesnt come on when i lean forward or to the side or put a grocery bag on the passenger seat. I went to the dealer and he told me it is suppose to be that way...and i went in another 05 TSX and did the same thing but the light did not come on either. Do any of you guys " side airbag off " light come on when you have a kid sitting in a front passenger seat?

 

Only in certain random situations

 

Had the dog in the front seat and it did come on after a period of time.

Also had the wife in the front seat leaning back to feed my son in the back and it came on.

 

Happens, like when my wife leans on the door while sleeping.

 

I think you have to wait quite a while. Maybe around 1 minute.
