Severe driving conditions...
I’ve owned my car for close to 3 weeks now and finally had the opportunity to drive it in severe weather conditions. It’s been over 100 degrees F w/ 70% + humidity almost everyday, the heat index has been as high as 116 F. This is the hottest conditions I’ve ever experienced. The A/C has performed far better than I expected. I haven’t noticed much power loss and I have an AT. I’ve tested it in extreme heat but not rain.
For those who are not familiar with Kansas City, MO weather it slides from one extreme to another by the day. It hasn’t rain where I live for almost a month. It’s the driest the Midwest has been since the dust bowl in the 30’s. So yesterday it opened up with a good rain. I’ve lived in a few areas of the country and visited most. I have never seen such hard rain as I have here. We are going into the flash flood season. The street drains fill quickly and then you have a lot of standing water. The car handled perfectly. The TSX glided through 2”-3” of rain with no problem. I’ve never had lower profile tires so I wasn’t sure how it would handle in the city street of Kansas City, MO when they become rivers in a matter of 10 minutes. This is an excellent car. No regrets here.

Terrific here in the heavy rains too.
I'm always a little timid about pushing it in those conditions with a new car, especially a new model. Just sort of a post-traumatic habit I developed from my old 320i.
But the TSX can handle it real, real well.
