I got a letter in the mail on friday saying i was selected to do emissions testing for the TSX, and they give me like $100. Anyone else get this letter? Sound legit?

 

Who sent the letter, the dealer?

So I just re-read the letter, I was going to do it, cuz its a free $100, BUT they say they will need the TSX for 1 to 4 WEEKS! Nuts to that.

 

$100 to borrow your car for up to weeks? You would think they can get one from the dealer for the testing purposes.

 

Dang 4 weeks, yeah man forget that, I wouldn't leave my car with anyone for more than 4 mins haha

 

So, they give you $100 for running around in your car for 4 weeks? That's That wouldn't even be a car payment.

 

Wow....renting a car like the TSX should be in the $40/day range (may even be $50/day). So 4 weeks should equal to $1,120 at least. Sounds like they're ripping you off on that deal. Don't do it.

 

, if Honda had contracted an outside company to do testing, it would've provided test mules for the company to use. Anyone can get a Honda logo and put it on something...just look at all those rebadged TSX's running around here posing as JDM Accords...lol

 

week 1: take apart TSX
week 2: reverse engineer every propietary Honda part
week 3: try to put everyting back together
week 4: test-drive the crap out of it

Hmmm, they give you a rental. But I still can't figure why a dynamometer test would take so long.
