My girlfriend's 1999 Mitsubishi Galant has been losing coolant consistently for the past month. Since the problem had started she has added coolant 3-4 times. She said that when she turns on the AC hot air comes out. Additionally, prolong use (like 30 minutes) of the car would result in the temperature guage hitting the high (red) mark. Does any of you have any advice you can give us on what might be causing this and what we need to do? We're probably going to bring it to a mechanic soon, but I just want some general info on this problem to avoid getting ripped off. Thanks for the help.
