Scratched dash on Ebony Interior...fixes?

So i officially had my first boo-boo, and scratched the glovebox door as well as the panel to the left of it.. the mark is HUGE and WHITE. Is there any way to fix this or cover it to make it look decent?

Ouch...Zaino has a hard plastic polish, Z14. I have a bottle of it but I havent tried it yet. I suspect it would clean up things like this using a random orbit polisher.

the "ScratchDoctor" might work.

I think youre not getting replies cause this is so rare of a scratch.

That sucks. I suspect that if you tried to do anything (like sanding or something) you'd only make it worse. I have one or two nicks - nothing nearly as large - and I used a fine point black magic marker to cover it. It by no means fixes the scratch, obviously, but it does help reduce its visibility. Given the size of your scratch, I'm not sure how well that would mask it though.

thanks guys - i checked on another forum and it was recommended to heat the area and then smooth it over with something firm and smooth. What are your takes on that?

take a kitchen sponge, moisten and see if that rubs off the white stuff (might need some elbow grease). I used that to clean off the scratch mark my brother did when he backed into the garage and scratched the rear fender against the door frame (the garage door that is).
