RSX 5at Loaner

My car is at the dealership today getting some normal maintenance done and I took a black rsx base auto back to the office with me. It makes me appreciate my car alot more. I took it out for a little tossability testing at lunch and here are a few of my observations.(Justinjsw, just pretend you didn't read this) The ride in the rsx is stiffer yet it seems to understeer much more when pushed hard. The steering feels significantly more muted and less precise.(not to mention the small steering wheel bugs me) I didn't line them up, of course, but even with the lighter wheels/tires it seems a lot more boggy off the line(I also have a 5at) and the engine seems far less smooth in the upper rev ranges. Seems the tsx is a much better tuned motor to go with an AT! Looking forward to getting my car back this afternoon....

The K24 is definitely a better engine for the AT because it has more torque. I really don't mind driving an AT with such a good engine.

04 . Justin what's up with your dealership giving out crappy outdated models!?!? BTW the girl that signed me up to take it off the lot is a cutey.

oh , there was also a little rubber stopper put over the sport shift part of the gear selector to "prevent' you from using SS mode. So I took it out and let me tell you that transmission shifts very slowly comapred to ours.

Thats tight. Remind me to never buy a car from justinjsw

Then again, maybe they figured, this guys a big NooB, lets disable the SS before he breaks it

That's a wise choice.

It's not an RSX type S so it definitely won't compare to the TSX's standards.

When i brought my car for service, they gave a crapy explorer. No acura. I thought the fuel tank was leaking fuel. It used so much gas.

the intake is fine... I just took it out because it was too loud...yeah, that's it haha. Comptech still hasn't gotten back to me on a replacement air filter yet. stock wont fit and k&n drop in doesn't seem like it makes a good seal.

:imwithstupid: Agreed Tinky -- Justin, I can't complain about the RSX loaners you guys' give out (although I too got one recently with the SS lockout thingy), but I'd like to get a TSX or TL just once. The loaner girl caught my eye too, but I didn't feel the need to mention it like some people

haha, I was kidding about the rsx... it's alot better than getting a corolla or a civic! (but I was secretely hoping they'd be fresh out and have to send me home in an RL )

BTW I checked out the rl for the first time in person today..very nice. I love seating position in it with the gear selector up high.

Geez an RSX...When I took mine in to get the center head unit replaced, they gave me a Malibu Max. That's has to be the most car on the road. Needless to say, I pulled my cap down low and put my shades on, and slid down real low in the seat.

I will be sure to let her read this.

You don't want to know how many calls they get..."the car is broken, it won't shift"
