RSB Help!

Hey Acurazine,

Quick question H&R RSB, should I pull the trigger? What are your impressions? How does it compare to some of the other models out there, any opinions or comments are greatly appreciated.

I think there's only a few people on this forum who have the H&R. Most others have Progress or Comptech. I have Progress, and it's great. But between Progress and Comptech I doubt you'd feel much difference.

+1 for progress. the great thing about the progress bar over the comptech bar is that it's got some "fins" welded onto it that stop the bushings in the right place, and you don't have any guesswork as with the comptech.

p.s. big thanks to clee109 for helping me install my progress bar recently. great guy!

What were some of your initial reactions, impressions after installing the progress since most of you seem to be in that majority. How did the car feel? Handling? Extra.

if you're on your stock suspension you'll probably feel the difference more than i did (on tein basics). but it's DEFINITELY noticeable. making quick turns feels much more stable than before. i LOVE loopy on-ramps more than ever now

You can feel the differences. The differences of noise... lol

I had replaced my Comptech RSB w/ Progress RSB and it is much quieter. Performance wise they are about the same. But Comptech is NOT compatible w/ aftermarket exhaust.

With RSB installed, your car should feel alot connected. When you take a fast corner, the rear is like following the front, on a rail.

Search some of the older threads, because there is alot of info. Back in 04-05 the RSB was usually referred to as the best bang for the buck/install mod. I still think this is the case.

I have the Comptech one, and I have none of the mentioned problems. No noises, no creaks. The bar seemed to make the car more neutral....a little bit more oversteer. The car really feels much more stable and in control in turns, especially those steady-state cloverleafs. Great stability and feedback in turns now.

I also have the A-spec suspension, and I think both play to the TSX's strengths. Any of these bars are likely to be a winner. the only thing I'd note is that the h&r bar is 22mm, which is thicker than the Comptech bar. You ought to look into what this likely means and if you like that effect. The Comptech one is plenty stiff and provides a well-handling ride for me.

umm...i think comptech and progress are 22mm...

I have comptech with energy bushings...and they're great.
You'd probably make the best move by getting progress, but have fun

Yup, its 22mm and I decided to go with it! I have gotten some great advice here on the installation and I am going to undergo this one myself. I will share my experiences with the install and some photos.
