Where is the resonator exactly? How do you remove it? Does it mess up the car having it off? I just installed K&N and I see others have removed this item. Good idea? What benefits? Thanks in advance for any assist. M

 

the resonator is the box below your airbox. It doesn't mess it up by having it off. I'm not sure what the screws are on your model but on my CLS it was maybe 1 or 2 bolts that needed to be taken off. It's easier to remove the box if you remove the bumper but it's not totally necessary on the CL To remove the bumper. Benefits are that there's nothing obstructing nice cool air from coming up to your intake.

 

Click on my sig. Easy to remove. All you'll need is a 10mm socket, long extension, Phillips head screw driver and flat head screw driver.

Its is easiest to remove the driver's side wheel and remove 2 plastic fasteners closest to the engine inside the wheel well.

If you go to hondacuraworld, get the instructions to do the fog light installation on the TSX and that will get you all the details if you don't have the service manual.

Took me, in total, a couple of hours, but then again, I snapped a bunch of pics for people interested.
